One of the main advantages of FeedOtter's curated newsletters is the ability to curate content, or select it from various sources such as RSS feeds, WordPress sites, or social media, for easy integration into your emails.
Before incorporating content into your newsletters, you need to identify your primary content sources.
In FeedOtter, navigate to Settings > Content Sources > New Content Source.
Then, click on the dropdown to reveal the different content sources available.
If you do not see the Content Sources option, you may need to request access from your FeedOtter admin or account owner. Ask them to add your content sources or make you a FeedOtter Admin in the Users settings.
Here is breakdown of how each source works:
TikTok - Adding a TikTok content source will require you to sign into your TikTok account.
Once you've added a content source, click Save.
Once your content source is added, go ahead and click on the Test Content Source button. You should see a green circle in the status column.
This confirms FeedOtter was able to communicate with your content source.
– Paste in any valid RSS feed URL. You will be able to drag and drop specific posts into your email.
– Connect your UberFlip account via API. You will be able to select Streams from which to select posts.
– This expects a YouTube formatted RSS feed URL.
– Connect your Algolia account via API to select articles and content for email use.
– This is a direct connection to the WordPress REST API of a website. You will then have access to all posts, categories, and/or tags.
– You can manage your content in a Google spreadsheet and make it available in FeedOtter. This has been used to pull in ad-content, sponsored posts, or product details.
