Invite team members to Feedotter, manage user access, and control permissions for campaigns and newsletters.
User Roles
Feedotter supports three user roles:
Owner
The Owner has full access to the Feedotter account, including all settings, newsletters, and user management functions.
The Owner can:
Create and manage users
Transfer account ownership
Manage all account settings
Each Feedotter account can have only one Owner at a time.
Admin
Admins have access to all account settings and newsletters just as the Owner.
Admins can:
Manage users
Grant or remove Admin access
Manage user permissions
Disable users
The only thing Admins cannot do is transfer account ownership.
User
Users do not have access to account settings.
By default, Users can access all automations and newsletters. However, Owners and Admins can restrict access to specific campaigns and newsletters using permissions (read more on this below).
Add a User

To add a new user:
Navigate to Settings > Users.
Click Add User.
Enter the user's:
Email address
First name
Last name
Enable Account Admin if the user should have administrator access.
Configure permissions if needed.
Click Save.
Feedotter will send the user an email with instructions to create a password and complete account setup.
Edit a User
To update an existing user:
Navigate to Settings > Users.
Locate the user in the list.
Click Edit.
Update the user's information as needed.
Click Save.
User Permissions
Permissions help limit which automations and newsletters a user can access. This can only be implemented for users. The owner and admins will always have access to all automations and newsletters.
By default, users can access all campaigns and newsletters.
To restrict access:
Navigate to Settings > Users.
Click Edit next to the user.
In the Permissions field, search for and select the campaigns or newsletters the user should have access to.
Click Save.

Once permissions are assigned, the user will only be able to view and edit the selected campaigns and newsletters.
Permissions can be especially useful for organizations with multiple teams, editors, or newsletters.
Transfer Account Ownership
Only the current Owner can transfer ownership to another user.

To transfer ownership:
Navigate to Settings > Users.
Locate the user who should become the new Owner.
Click Make Owner.
Confirm the transfer.
After ownership is transferred:
The selected user becomes the new Owner.
The previous Owner is automatically changed to an Admin.
Important: After transferring ownership, the previous Owner should log out and allow the new Owner to log in using their own account.
If you are unable to access the current Owner account, please contact the Feedotter team for assistance.
Disable a User
Users cannot be deleted from Feedotter. Instead, they can be disabled.
Disabling a user immediately prevents them from logging in while preserving historical account activity.
To disable a user:
Navigate to Settings > Users.
Click Edit next to the user.
Change Enabled from Active to Disabled.
Click Save.
Disabled users remain in the user list and can be reactivated later if needed.
Note: Disabled users do not count toward user limits.
