# Tools

The **Feed URL Checker** allows you to verify that a feed URL is accessible from Feedotter's servers.

This tool can be used to test:

* RSS feeds
* XML
* JSON

#### Check a Feed

1. Navigate to **Settings > Tools**.
2. Enter the feed URL you would like to test.
3. Click **Check Feed**.

Feedotter will attempt to access the feed and report whether it is reachable.

**Need help troubleshooting a feed?** If the Feed URL Checker identifies an issue, or if you're having trouble connecting a feed to Feedotter, contact our team at **<success@feedotter.com>** and we'll be happy to help investigate. Please include a screenshot of the tool's output.
{% endhint %}

#### When to Use the Feed URL Checker

The Feed URL Checker can be helpful when:

* Troubleshooting feed errors
* Verifying that a feed URL is publicly accessible
* Confirming that Feedotter can access a feed

> **Tip:** If a feed works in your browser but fails in Feedotter, use the Feed URL Checker to determine whether Feedotter's servers can successfully access the feed.
