UTM tracking is arguably the most important part of sending your emails to clients. This is because UTM codes allow you to track the traffic going back to your website via clicking on links in your email with Google Analytics.
For more information on using UTM codes in emails you can read more here:
Easily append custom parameters and UTMs to your email links for greater flexibility and better tracking with Google Analytics.
To configure UTM codes, Edit your Automated (or Curated campaign).
Click on Settings in the left sidebar toward the bottom.
Click on Configure UTM Codes in UTM Reporting box.
Fill in/modify the UTM codes as desired.
Previously, FeedOtter automatically appended UTM parameters only to content items. With the new update, you now have additional control over where these UTMs are applied.
The new options available include:
Content Items (default): This maintains the current behavior where UTMs are appended only to content links.
All Link Tags (overwrite): Applies the UTM parameters to all links in your email, overwriting any existing UTM tags or custom parameters.
No Overwrite: Leaves existing UTMs and parameters untouched, applying your configured UTMs only where none exist.
The same functionality applies to custom parameters as well. You can automatically append custom tags to all links, with the same overwrite options available.
