FeedOtter Can Not Approve Marketo Template

Curated newsletters may fail to publish to Marketo for a variety of reasons. Below are the most common causes and how resolve them.

If you need to publish your newsletter right now. Look at the bottom of the Publish screen in FeedOtter. You will see an option to access the raw email HTML code. You can copy and paste this code into a new Marketo email manually for an immediate send.

Reset the Design Studio Template

  1. Navigate to the Marketo Design Studio

  2. Expand Email Templates

  3. Browse or Search to find an email templated named the same as your FO newsletter. For example if your newsletter is named:

You should look in Marketo for an Email Template with the same name:

If the template is "Unapproved" or "Has a Draft". Please discard the draft, and ensure the template file has an Approved status.

Return to FeedOtter and try to publish your Curated Newsletter again. In many cases this will restore your integration.
